Yin Yang and Martial arts

How Yin Yang represents Martial arts and how to Understand it??


     Hi Every one i just want to start this blog with New year wishes to everyone wishing that great years ahead with more knowledge and enlightenment which are the purpose of LIFE..

                   I want to explain about Yin yang and how it represents martial arts.

 Most of us know that Yin yang represents life, It represents everything in the universe about being Bright and dark sides of everything in physical and mental state. For example we have everything in contrast like Day and Night, Bright and Light, Soft and Hard, Happiness and sadness, sweet and bitter, etc..

Same in Martial arts and Real fight we have 2 different things to do or get, One is Defense another one is Offence. okay this is just a small thing to know. But which is important to know about Yin yang in Martial arts is the shape of it. The circle and 2 circles travelling inside the circle in circular movement and follows each other.also small circles inside circles are closer to the Big circle.
     
And the Black and white is Obviously Defense and Offence and Defense with Deflection and then the Offence. 

These are the basic principles which has to be applied in every martial arts which is not being applied in most of the martial arts unfortunately. These principles are strictly applied in Yutha sasthiram martial arts and Filipino kyusho  

Years ago the Purpose of martial arts have been for using them in real situation. But nowadays it became a Big Business around the world so there is no time to prepare for the real situation while preparing the students for Belts, trophies and being proud to beat some one who is not fighting with
his full freedom But following the rules. Belt are important to know the level of the students but they 
don't make sure of their survival. always belts should be less than their skills for adults. here it will vary between kids and adults. because kids will be trained very gradually according to their capacity and understanding level. for Kids the Belts helps them to continue study long time so they can understand everything slowly but in the end we have to make sure they understood what they have to.

For Adults martial art is not in the waist. it should be in the blood. When they are in training everyday, they do not have to fight. Their body should be able to respond quicker than their mind realizing they are in a fight. Body has more memory than Mind. So more we practice physically is better.

As Bruce lee said when the opportunity comes i Don't fight, (showing his fist) it fights all by itself.

Yin Yang

In LIFE  or in MARTIAL ARTS It looks simple to understand the Yin yang but It is not. We need more practice with consciousness and more understanding.

     As we all very Busy Doing our Business, Job, Studies, etc., We don't have time to observe what is happening in our Body and the Nature of our body. Understanding our Body and Internal is a Spiritual thing, We don't have to go deep in to spirituality as we don't have time to thing about it but we must spend time to thing about our body to keep it healthy and safe. All species have the Natural ability to Reflex against any kind of harm happening to them. As per the above picture before we put our leg fully in a nail our body quickly response to safe ourselves, before someone slaps you your eyes getting closed and your cheek muscles getting tighten to receive that slap without hurting your face much, sometimes your hand tries to block the attack and your body may make a move to escape from the slap. The reflexes will be different from person to person according to their daily activities and body capabilities. If one trained to Block the attack he/she will definitely block the attack because their muscles and brain been practicing that plenty of time and it is programmed in the brain and well as muscles.

 

     A Natural ability of a body is reflexes but it doesn't mean it will be a successful survival in a fight or violence. For example if you don't know swimming and falling in a small pool your body automatically tries to survive and your hand and legs will swing and your eyes will check for the closest place to reach and your body will rise your face above the water to breath, everything will happen without our knowledge to make survival and mostly the body will survive in that situation. But if it is a deep big pool or lake or ocean even if our body do its best, it won't survive. If we practice our body to swim a lot and make it as its natural ability then we don't afraid to jump in to the ocean( still there is a limit for everything). same as swimming, Martial art training will make our body to survive in the situations when it needs. We are all living in different identities in life such as Humans,Male, Female, Children, Adults, Business man, Rich, Poor, etc. etc., but all our body loves to survive in a same way as long as possible. for example if you close your mouth and nose with your hands for few minutes, your body will release the hands very soon because your body loves to live your life. So whatever we love to do in our life we need to use our body but our body loves to survive. For survival in this dangerous world it is better to train our body and mind everyday.

     In Martial arts we train our body to survive in Self-defense situations, and we train our Mind to keep us away from such kind of situations. The survival must be a natural ability by regular practice. as Bruce lee said when there is an opportunity, your should not fight back your body should do it naturally. Learning and practicing are two different things, Learning will not save us, practicing will.

What do you Prefer for your Kids safety

if we Question the Parents
Which is very important for your kids from the below activities
1. Dance
2.Chess
3.Education
4.Martialarts
5.Sports

Answers will be 1st education next can be anything

okay, Education is very important we cannot do anything about that but the other options cannot be equally valued. I am not telling this because i do martial arts and i have to promote it to get more income. Please i am not doing marketing for martial arts. but i know the importance of martial arts and how martial arts helped martial artists including me in various aspects.
Again a question

  • When a armed person threatening your kid to take their life or abuse them what do you think they should use

1. Dance
2. chess
3. education
4. martial arts
5. Sports

Now the answers will be definitely martial arts

we cannot compromise anything with our Child's life.

we have seen lot of news that Girls got killed in public places and got raped in bus, train and as per female abuse statistics in india

 India states a reported crime rate of 46 per 100,000, rape rate of 2 per 100,000, dowry homicide rate of 0.7 per 100,000 and the rate of domestic cruelty by husband or his relatives as 5.9 per 100,000.

for example a well educated girl got killed in Nungambakam railway station 2yrs ago. When she got killed in public place. No one helped her. she may have learnt lot of stuff for 24yrs which could not save her life but if she could have trained in martial arts she could fight with that guy and saved her life.  obviously no one will help us in that kind of situation and we cannot expect others to risk their life to save our life. We may think we and our kids are living safely and nothing may happen to us. most of the people who got killed for various violence would not have expect that they would have get killed. No one can help us or our kids, if we not be ready to get skilled for survival.

when i say martial arts please do not misunderstood with sports which teaches your kids to take points by kicking and punching their opponents in very safe environment. those are not martial arts. those sports can be teach as a martial arts which was been a real thing long years back.  most of the martial arts became sports to make more money through tournaments. i do not say all the tournaments are useless. obviously we need to compete sometimes. but only taking points are not martial arts. because in real violence when we take points our enemy will take our life. Martial art center should not be points based sports center or teaching only violence to make the students as a wrong person.

I am not trying to do marketing to my school or self. Please find a good place to learn real survival. there are some good teachers and schools we can find somewhere, but have to find out.

 In this generation the problem is people don't want to travel few kilometers to learn real stuff instead they go or send their kids to any nearby sports centers called martial arts club and learn to take points and get over confidence which is very dangerous for them.

Do not Bother the Teacher's Belt before you join and Your belt after you Joined. Belt cannot save anyone's life. Belts are just to measure your progress of capability.
