The best part of Traditional Martial arts are Forms (Kata)

Kata (Forms)

In current generation Martial art grown in to a different level. Everyone want to go to Combat based arts instead of Traditional martial arts.
I agree that traditional martial arts don't give early what is very important for survival. But modern MMA kind of arts Never give what a martial art should give to the practitioners which is calmness, Focus, Humanity etc. In traditional martial arts we spend time to train in Forms (Kata) which prepare us to control our selves after we get lots of knowledge in combat skills. It is not only important to know how to fight it is also important to know when to fight and where to fight. Forms are also filled with fighting techniques which can be used in particular situations (in real fight it is not compulsory to use the same what we practice in the forms) but we can able to mix up with our knowledge to fight better in survival situation. 
Benefits of forms are
Focus, Balancing, Directions, calmness, foot work, activating every muscles and joints, style which means perfection, creativity etc.

Martial art without forms are like Body without Mind
